Our Clam Shell melt moulds are made from 0.6mm thick PVC not 0.3mm twice as thick as most on the market. This makes them stronger with less distortion and makes for easier pouring. They are not effected by the heat of the wax if poured at recommended temperatures.

    Difficult to close and really hard to reopen!

    These clamshell moulds are really hard to close once filled with wax and almost impossible to open without breaking a fingernail or two. Quite disappointed as I loved the look but have had customers complain.

    Hi Bettina,
    thank you for your review, we would like to let you know that with these clamshells it is important for them to have a good seal to ensure no leakages when the products are shipped. We do understand that this can make them a little hard to open if you try to open them from the top flap along
    We recommend pinching the lower part for the mould at each side, then at the same time open the top flap at the front. Give this a go and we are confident that you will find the clamshells open far easier, while still maintaining the good seal
